Who is An Vandenberk ?
An Vandenberk is an artisan designer from Brussels — a creator, pattern-maker and certified leather craftswoman. Her work is rooted in a love for form, function, people and nature, and guided by a commitment to beauty, fair trade and sustainability.
Creativity has been present since childhood. As a teenager, An was already designing and making her own clothes. At 13, she completed her first garments; by 14, she crafted her first “recycled” bag from worn jeans and old leather boots — a foreshadowing of her later philosophy: nothing is ever truly waste.
Today, An draws from a deep appreciation for contemporary art and architecture. She finds inspiration in figures such as the late Eric Beaudoin, Niyona, Raf Simons, and movements like Modernism, as embodied by Gerrit Rietveld or Toyo Ito. Her designs reflect a similar play of structure, fluidity and intention.
An holds a degree in Interior Design from LUCA School of Arts and earned official recognition as a certified leather artisan and pattern-cutter by Syntra Brussels.

My Mission
As a designer and artisan, I am devoted to creating high-quality garments and crafting sculptural leather goods from my atelier in Brussels. Every piece is conceived with care and intention, shaped by sustainable values and timeless design.
My mission is to offer unique yet enduring work — wearable pieces that honour individuality while treading lightly on the planet. By using eco-conscious materials such as bamboo fabrics, upcycled and deadstock leather, and by supporting local and ethical production, I aim to contribute to a more thoughtful industry.
I believe in clothing and accessories as personal statements — meaningful, responsible, and made to last. This is where fashion meets integrity. This is the vision of An Vandenberk, artisan designer Brussels.
