I’m An Vandenberk
Designer, craftswoman and storyteller through materials.
My work begins with a simple belief: what we wear should carry meaning, not just aesthetics. In leather, I work as a material shaman sensing which hide belongs with whom, and shaping it into a Composite where your essence and the material’s become one. Because your own essence is woven into the piece, it doesn’t just accompany you it strengthens your presence and personality. Made and cared for the right way, these creations – handbags among them, for women and men alike – outlive a single lifetime, passed down from generation to generation with their story intact. In bamboo, under the name AN, the Composite is mine: my essence as a designer meeting the essence of the fabric, designed here in my Brussels atelier and made in small batches in Portugal, in pieces made to strengthen your personality as the wearer. Either way, the result isn’t just worn. It speaks. I am a recognised leather artisan with my atelier in Brussels.

- A repair, restoration or transformation → Assessment Appointment, up to 45 minutes, €55 incl. VAT (fully credited towards your final invoice)
