Bespoke leather creations, designed and handmade in my Brussels atelier for clients across Belgium and beyond who invest in something that exists nowhere else.
made for you alone
Designed for a Lifetime
Tired of searching for the perfect handbag that truly fits you and that no one else has? You’ve come to the right place. In my Brussels atelier, I design and craft your dream bag entirely by hand, for her or for him: a one-of-a-kind leather creation that reflects your personality, your style and your story.
I work with clients across Belgium, but just as often with clients abroad: our first conversation and all follow-ups can take place perfectly well over video call, and your bag can be shipped anywhere in the world.
Everyone deserves to feel beautiful, confident and stylish, through a piece made truly for them. As a material shaman, I intuitively sense which material suits which person, and bring that together in a one-of-a-kind piece I call a Composite: where your unique self meets the essence of the material. Because your own essence is fused into the piece, it doesn’t just accompany you, it strengthens who you already are. That’s why I design refined, timeless leather pieces that don’t just elevate your look, but tell a story and evolve with you for a lifetime and, made and cared for the right way, beyond it: pieces meant to be passed down, generation to generation, carrying your story forward with them. As a recognised artisan, I work with care, attention and respect for people, material and planet. Every piece that leaves my atelier is meant to make you shine, today, tomorrow, and for many years to come.
To honour that promise, every custom-made item includes a free* repair service – because true luxury should last. It’s my way of extending the life of existing materials and reducing waste, in respect for our planet and the people who live on it.
*If there’s a technical issue, the full repair is free of charge – including materials.
*If a part is simply worn out, you only pay for the replacement part. Labour remains free.

Beyond luxury
Who is this atelier for?
This is beyond luxury: not a purchase, but an experience of connection. Connection between you and me as the maker, and connection between you and the material we choose together. The bag you end up wearing isn’t the starting point. It’s the result of that connection.
I don’t make for everyone and that’s the whole point. My atelier is for those who:
- want to wear something truly unique, not a bag you’ll see on every high street;
- value timeless design over trends and seasonal collections;
- want to give a cherished material – a jacket, a bag, an heirloom – new life in a Composite that carries their story, or have no material of their own and trust my eye for carefully selected atelier leather or a hide sourced specifically for their project;
- are looking for a personal journey and a genuine connection, not a shopping experience;
- are consciously investing in a bespoke piece (from €1,950) rather than a mass-produced one;
- run a business or work independently, and would love a piece that carries your company’s identity as well as your own. Discover my Corporate Composites →;
- live in Belgium, or abroad. A design consultation works perfectly by video call.
This is not off-the-rack, and it’s not a production line. Every piece begins with a conversation, shaped entirely around your body, your style and your story.
Beyond Luxury
More Sustainable by nature
Zero-waste leather design
In addition to bespoke creations using your own cherished materials and/or carefully selected surplus leather, I also offer one-of-a-kind leather accessories crafted from leftover off-cuts. These small, ready-made items embody my commitment to a zero-waste philosophy giving new life to what others might discard. Thoughtfully made, consciously chosen.
Leather accessoriesThe creative journey
Bespoke leather handbags, handmade in Brussels
My mission is to design deeply personal, handcrafted pieces that last a lifetime, not only in material quality, but in meaning. Every bespoke handbag or accessory is shaped by your story and style, and brought to life in my atelier in Brussels.
Our journey begins with a one-on-one consultation, either in my studio or online. I’ll listen to your wishes and inspirations, and then translate them into a series of design sketches. Once you choose your favourite concept, I refine it into a detailed paper model. Together, we’ll explore leathers, colours, linings and finishings, until your dream piece is ready to be made.
Throughout the process, I’ll keep you updated with photos and progress insights. If anything feels off, we refine it together. Throughout the making process, I keep you closely involved through photos and videos of every key step, and a video call whenever you’d like one. This usually happens over WhatsApp, but any channel you prefer works just as well. That way, you become part of the creative process yourself, even if you can’t be physically present in the atelier. When your bag is finished, you’re welcome to collect it in person or have it shipped to you anywhere in the world. Don’t live in Brussels or Belgium? No problem: the entire journey from first conversation to final update, by photo, video or video call can take place entirely remotely, and your bag arrives at your door, wherever in the world that may be.

crafted by ME
Made in Brussels
A handcrafted story from sketch to stitch
Each creation begins with inspiration – captured in my sketchbook, wherever I happen to be. From there, I draft technical drawings to imagine the final structure and details. The patterns are drawn by hand on reused cardboard, paper bags, or warehouse scraps – reflecting my love for sustainability.
Every cut of leather and reinforcement is selected and trimmed manually. Skiving, when needed, is done with precision using traditional French or Japanese blades. Each bag is the result of slow craftsmanship – not shortcuts.
Details & Finishing
Once every piece has been cut, skived and reinforced, the logo is applied and the assembly begins. Each component is carefully bonded together before being machine stitched or hand stitched, depending on the design. The edges are then meticulously finished, the bag is shaped, polished and thoroughly inspected until every detail meets my exacting standards.
The techniques I use are rooted in my three-year training as a professional leather craftswoman and enriched by the knowledge and skills I have refined over many years of practice. Every detail reflects true craftsmanship, meticulous attention and a genuine passion for the art of leather making.
What is a Composite?
Every bag that leaves my atelier is a Composite: a one-of-a-kind piece where the wearer’s unique self – her or his essence – meets the essence of the material, fusing into something new. Not decoration, not coincidence: the character of the leather and the character of the person wearing it reinforce one another. Because your own essence is woven into the piece, it doesn’t just accompany you, it strengthens your presence and personality. So every piece that leaves my atelier carries the story of its owner, too – for her, or for him. And these aren’t just leather creations: made and cared for the right way, they outlive a single lifetime, meant to be passed down from generation to generation with their story intact.
This calls for something you can’t learn from a book: an instinct for which material suits whom. As a material shaman, I read the character of a hide intuitively – its texture, patina, history – and bring that together with who you are and what your bag needs to say. That’s exactly what makes a Composite impossible to copy, and why no two Composites are ever the same.
Many of my bespoke bags begin with an existing material that carries a past: a cherished jacket, a bag full of memories, an heirloom. Don’t have anything of your own to give a second life? Then I’ll go looking for the perfect hide on your behalf. I work with deadstock and surplus leather from dormant stocks at specialist suppliers: hides that would otherwise have no future, but which I select carefully for quality, colour and texture. If nothing in my current selection suits your project, I go out and specifically source the hide that does.
Choice of stitching technique
You help decide how your bag comes together:
- 100% hand-stitched – the most artisanal and time-intensive route;
- partly hand-stitched, partly machine-stitched – a blend of efficiency and hand-finished detail;
- fully machine-stitched, with only the delicate finishing done by hand – for those who prefer a shorter turnaround without compromising on finish.
Each option carries its own character and price. We’ll discuss together what suits your design and budget best.

For those who want to go all the way
Beyond leather, shape and finish, your bespoke bag can be personalised even further:
Gold or silver hardware, or a bespoke jewel
For your ultimate luxury requirements beyond leather, shape and finish, your bespoke bag can be personalised even further with gold hardware, or even with a bespoke jewel.
Clasps, chains and other hardware can be crafted in 14k gold (yellow, white or rose gold) or complemented by a specially designed jewel, with or without gemstones. For this, I work together with an ethical goldsmith, Saskia Shutt. The definitive statement handbag for your most exclusive evenings.
Please note: precious-metal hardware shows wear more easily, simply because it is a precious metal. If you would rather combine the luxurious gold or silver look with a more durable finish, gold-plated or silver-toned hardware can be used on the bag.
A bag with its own scent
For those who want the complete experience: your bespoke bag can also be given its own personal scent. For this, I work with Franziska Josteit of Luisa Jo.

Two client stories
Els’ story
Els discovered a bag at a Brussels pop-up that felt just right, with one issue: it was too big. Together, we designed a bespoke version built from three complete parts in one. Today, she carries a bag that exists nowhere else.

Not every project starts with an existing jacket or heirloom. Anne-Sophie had no material of her own to reuse. She chose her colour and leather entirely herself, from my atelier selection. After unexpectedly losing her mother around her fiftieth birthday, she used part of what she inherited to have the So-Fie made – a bag that became more than an accessory: a tangible memory and an act of self-love.

Book your appointmentFrequently asked questions about a bespoke handbag
A bespoke handbag is designed entirely around your wishes: the model, the type of leather, the colour, the finish and the details. You can bring your own material, or I’ll select a suitable hide for you, and the bag is handmade in my atelier, not off-the-rack, not an existing model adjusted to fit, but a design built from scratch, around you.
Expect anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, depending on the complexity of the design and the materials chosen. After our first conversation, I’ll give you a realistic estimate.
Yes, absolutely — I work with clients all over the world, from Amsterdam and London to New York, Miami, Toronto and Dubai, and beyond. The entire process, from design consultation to final update, takes place perfectly well by video call, and your bag is shipped anywhere in the world (please note import duties or customs fees may apply depending on your country, which I’ll clarify with you before shipping). For clients seeking something truly exclusive, I also offer solid gold or silver hardware, a bespoke jewel with or without gemstones, and even a personal scent for your bag — details you won’t find at any traditional luxury house. Every piece is a genuine, one-of-a-kind heirloom: made once, for you alone, never repeated for anyone else. Discover the philosophy behind this on Beyond Luxury →.y video call. Your bag is shipped anywhere in the world.
The investment depends on the size, complexity and finish of the piece — including your choice of leather and hardware:
– Small leather goods, made to measure: from €250
– Small bags: from €1,950
– Medium bags: from €3,500
– Modular bags (several bags in one), smallest model: from €5,500
– Large bags: from €7,500
– Fully hand-stitched pieces, or those in the most sustainable exotic leathers: starting from €4,850 (e.g. a fully hand-stitched bucket bag, including a paper prototype, pattern-making and standard high-end hardware)
Bespoke additions such as gold or silver hardware or a personal scent come with their own additional cost, which we’ll discuss during your design consultation. Whatever the category, this is an investment in a one-of-a-kind piece made to outlive a lifetime — not a mass-produced item, but one that, with the right care, can be passed down from generation to generation.ass-produced item.
Absolutely — a cherished jacket, a bag with a story, a leather heirloom: I’m happy to explore together what’s possible and how we can give the material a new life. Nothing to reuse yourself? Then I’ll select a fitting hide from deadstock and surplus leather, or go looking specifically for the material that suits your project.
It can be, but it doesn’t have to be: you can choose 100% hand-stitched, a combination of machine and hand work, or fully machine-stitched with only the delicate finishing done by hand. We’ll discuss together what best suits your design, timeline and budget.
Yes. For hardware in solid gold or silver, or a specially designed jewel with or without gemstones, I work with ethical goldsmith Saskia Shutt — a beautiful option for, say, a bespoke evening bag. Solid precious metal does show wear more easily; this can be combined with gold-plated or silver-toned hardware on the parts most prone to wear.
Yes — for those who want the complete experience, I work with Franziska Josteit of Luisa Jo to give your bag a personal scent.
A Composite is my term for a signature piece where the wearer’s unique self and the essence of the material fuse into something new. As a material shaman, I intuitively sense which material — in character, texture and history — suits whom. So every bag that leaves my atelier carries the story of its owner, too, and no two Composites are ever the same.
With a traditional brand, you buy recognition. With me, you invest in a piece built entirely around you: your measurements, your choice of material, your story. Read more about my vision on Beyond Luxury
